Chaos Phoenix

Update 1 for Chaos Phoenix adds many new features to speed up workflows and help get the job done quickly.

This release makes iterations faster and saves time with support for V-Ray CPU’s IPR, now also included with Phoenix for 3ds Max. Users will also find volume and particle deformers (available in Phoenix for 3ds Max only), as well as new controls inside the Particle Shaders’ fog mode for even more realistic volumetric effects. And much more.

  • Receive instant feedback to fine-tune your simulations or explore different looks with support for V-Ray CPU’s IPR.
  • Deform volumes and particles in no time in 3ds Max. Play with modifiers that bend, skew, taper, twist, melt, or stretch the selected simulators.
  • Create even more realistic volumetric effects with new absorption colour and phase function controls inside the Particle Shaders’ fog mode.
  • Time Bend Resimulations, animations, and more are now supported in the Standalone Simulator.
  • Load Simulators faster, customise rollout layout, and more, with an optimised user interface in 3ds Max.
  • See accurate and detailed streamline previews of how forces will affect the simulation before it even starts.

Chaos have published three dedicated tutorials to show users how they can make the most of the new features.
