Maxon Studio: Speed Up Video Editing Workflows
Maxon Studio is a new After Effects template engine with an easy-to-use interface which can speed up video editing workflows. This new feature is available to those with Red Giant and Maxon One licences.
Maxon Studio hopes to fill the limitations of MOGERTs, which only work in Premiere Pro, and After Effects Templates, which are often incredibly complicated to use. Maxon Studio capsules eliminate the hours of time spent trying to understand what each layer controls and reformatting templates to your frame rate or resolution.
There are over 250 capsules in the collection, plus Maxon has said there are more to come. This initial collection was designed by the artist collective CandyMustache. The templates are a mix of highly customisable backgrounds, text, and graphs, which can easily be adapted to your projects. The capsules automatically adapt to your project’s framerates and resolutions. We can see these working perfectly on a wide array of professional applications, such as:

How It Works
Once Maxon Studio is installed as an Adobe After Effects plugin, you need to open the Maxon Studio window. To do this, click on Window and click on Maxon Studio. Alternatively, use Ctrl + Alt + Spacebar on Windows or Cmd + Alt + Spacebar on Mac.
This opens the capsule window with all the new templates. You can navigate through them by searching or using categories.
What’s Included?
Backgrounds
Maxon Studio includes some quirky looped background Capsules with various options. These add textures, colours, and vibrant energy to any video project. The backgrounds are incredibly eye-catching, so they will help your videos stand out in crowded spaces and busy social media feeds. You can change the colours to match your brand or style with very simple tools.
Text
Text Capsules are great for creating lower thirds, dynamic typography, infographics, animated titles, and even bubbles that mimic text messages. These are fantastic for social media graphics and showstopping presentations. We quite like the infographics that are part of this collection, as getting easy to edit video graphs is notoriously difficult.
Motion Graphics
The motion graphics capsules include “posters” which are perfect for creating captivating slide desks to mesmerise clients, conferences and customers. There’s also logo reveals and individual graphics, such as “Like” buttons, “Subscribe” call outs and map symbols to enhace social videos and corporate films.
Transitions
Maxon Studio includes some rather impressive transitions. We particularly like the Slide transition, which would work wonderfully on TikTok or Instagram reels. We also love the Spin Perspective Transition which would work wonderfully for brand adverts.
Effects
Add clarity or give your video a certain ambiance with Effects Capsules. This batch of capsules comes with a stunning animated bokeh overlay which glistens gorgeously on pretty much any video clip. It also includes a Glassy overlay which adds a dreamy feel to your videos which is perfect for music videos, product videos or flashbacks.
